Ok I know I said that we should move on from Avatar and discover new things, but I just had one last contributing argument to propose against it. Last one I promise! lol.

Last week as my friend and I stumbled upon the discussion of Avatar and the bitter ending that we all had to face, I began thinking of why there were so many hints towards Zutara (I know we weren't just seeing thnigs!) only to end unsatisfactorily in Kataang and Maiko. Here's what I came up with:

We all know that Avatar is directed/produced by three heads of staff: Micheal Dante Dimartino, Bryan Konietzko, and Aaron Ehsaz. But what many don't realize is that Aaron Ehsaz was in charge of producing over 54 episodes within the series whereas Bryke only took charge for about 6, which coincidentally were the season finales. Bryke have said in a past interview that they mainly spend their time going back and forth from South Korea to Burbank to watch over the show and monitor their progress and only really take charge when it comes to the season finales. Don't believe me? Watch the median episodes for all the three seasons and pay attention to the credits. Notice anything? The episodes that basically help move the story along are all under the jurisdiction of Aaron Ehsaz whereas only in the season finale credits do we see Bryke's name. I suppose what I am trying to suggest is that perhaps Aaron Ehsaz believed that Zutara would do better for the storyline and inserted more exaggerated moments between Zuko and Katara than was originally intended which helped spawn the huge fandom that exists today. Perhaps when Bryke said that they "didn't INTEND for Zutara to happen", they really meant it. They weren't planning on making Zuko and Katara's interactions so pivotal in the storyline and ooze with the chemistry and tension that it had. All the main Zutara episodes were mostly directed/produced by Aaron Ehsaz which conveniently blended in with the first two season finales and amplified the tension between the two characters. Perhaps, if Bryke had actually bothered to sit down and work on their own damn show instead of lounging about between countries, Kataang and Maiko (among other things..) wouldn't have seemed so improbable. Which further explains why when the ending finally DID end in Kataang and Maiko, it made no sense at all because it went against the contents of all the other episodes THAT WAS DIRECTED/PRODUCED BY AARON EHSAZ. I know this sounds unbelievable, but considering how we weren't presented with any plausible explanation to the choppyness of the series finale, this is one of the few possibilities that exists. Anyway, that explains why Bryke took out their anger on us Zutarians when all we were doing was following their show and paying attention to detail LIKE THEY TOLD US TO DO.

Part of me believs it. Part of me doesn't. Just consider it food for thought. Thanks!
